“Can you move your leg over the edge of your bed?”
Already it’s been roughly two weeks since my rail platform accident. Still I’m bedridden, still my left leg is all plaster and bandages, and already I’m growing dangerously thin by comparison to my usually slim build.
I concentrate all of my energy into moving my leg. That’s when the excruciating pain quite literally kicks in, taking the form of a spontaneous muscle spasm.
I don’t flash back completely, but my leg does. I feel terrified and am ashamed when I break down crying with childlike abandon. But Jessica doesn’t scold me the way the
Gerald stepped out of the fitting room in a floor length evening gown, slinky and figure hugging.
“Oh, God,” said Cynthia. She put her head in her hands.
Gerald frowned and retreated back behind the curtain.
He reappeared in a pencil skirt and pussy bow blouse, both fitting rather snugly.
“Gerald!” muttered Cynthia. “You’re embarrassing me.”
Looking daggers, Gerald disappeared again, reappearing for the last time in a catsuit that left nothing to the imagination.
“Well, I am not going out with you looking like that!” said Cynthia.
Gerald straightened his shoulders. “You know,
“Where’s Elliot? He promised he’d keep teaching me how to shoot,” Ellen ambushes the pilot while he pours coffee.
Jack takes one look at her and wants to run away. She’s a small girl who loves caring for plants, riddling objects with bullet holes, and doing paper mache’. Getting spaced isn’t as scary as Ellen.
“You haven’t figured out how to point the gun and pull the squeezy thing yet?” Jack snorts, rolling his eyes.
“He’s the only one on this ship who can shoot things and not miss 90% of the time,” Ellen snaps. “So go suck a carbine. Have you seen him?”

I still recall that day, the day when everything changed.
The day began with a call that beeped in my head.
I right clicked the answer button with my eye.
The Human Resources Director appeared in front of me. Grumpy cat stared at me from his tie. It was not good news, I figured. The Director wouldn't wear a grumpy cat tie otherwise.
"Verk, you are my old friend from college, so I'm gonna be straight up with you:
The corporation is downsizing all human workers and replacing everyone in the Service industry with Dex units and AI System apps. I suggest you start looking for
The old man's wife passed away a few days ago.
He wouldn't like me writing it that waya fan of George Carlin, the thought of 'soft words' tended to make him cringe; he would have preferred 'died' or 'shuffled off her mortal coil.' He said that second one plenty. Every few years now one of his friends shuffles off their mortal coil, and he always says it that way when he finds their name in the obituary. 'I guess Mavis shuffled off her mortal coil. A shame. She had the most wonderful rack as a young woman. Would've married her if I hadn't met Julia.'
The old man wasn't exactly politically correct. Come to think of it, he was a bit of

just ramblings on the topic of style :)
So, after a metric ton of questions about it, i will assemble some PERSONAL OPINIONS
On the nature of style, its ups and downs... stuff like that
This is based on my own personal experiences, mistakes, dead ends and fuckups.
So take anything i say here with a few grains of salt.
In fact , reason i'm writing this is that i have started getting an unsettling amount of notes flat out idolizing the imperfect unfinished mess that is my style, so before it harms people's growth i wanted to share some personal insights i learned over time. Some through experience, other through conversation with industry professionals.

Le Gouffre is a wonderful animated short film. A joy to experience.
But there’s a second story to be told in all the ancillary documents and videos produced in completing that film. They now serve as an invaluable treasure trove to beginning film producers. The film’s leitmotif came to define the lives of the three young men attempting their own leap from amateur to professional film production.
